How to build and download your CV
Enter your name and a concise contact line with the email, phone and location you want an employer to see. Add a summary, work experience, education and skills. Select Preview CV to check the formatted document. Each text field accepts your own wording; the tool does not invent qualifications or employment history.
Download HTML saves a local document that opens in a browser. The Print / Save PDF button opens a separate print-friendly document. Choose Save as PDF in your browser or operating system if available. PDF creation uses the print dialog rather than a direct PDF-download service.
What to include in a professional CV
Use the summary to explain your relevant experience and the type of role you are targeting. Under experience, include the role, organisation, dates and specific contributions. Put the newest work first and use a separate line for each achievement.
Education can include qualifications, institutions and relevant dates. Skills should reflect capabilities you can explain in an interview. Include projects, volunteering or relevant coursework when these provide stronger evidence than a limited employment history.
Write achievements with facts instead of unsupported claims
A useful bullet explains the action and its result. For example, “Prepared weekly inventory reports for three stores” is clearer than “Responsible for reporting.” If you have an accurate measurable result, include its scope and period. Do not fabricate a percentage or client count.
Tailor the document to the job description without copying it word for word. Put the most relevant experience near the top and remove details that do not help an employer evaluate the application. Europass also recommends clear presentation and reverse chronology.
Single-column layout and applicant tracking systems
This builder uses ordinary headings and selectable text in its HTML document, with no skill bars, embedded photographs or multi-column tables. That makes the structure straightforward to read and edit. It is not a guarantee that every applicant tracking system will parse the exported PDF correctly.
Follow the employer’s requested file format. If an application requires DOCX, this tool does not generate that format. Check text selection and copy-paste order in the PDF you save before uploading it.
Privacy, saving and editing your draft
The builder formats your entries in the browser and makes no request to submit them to a CV service. It does not automatically save a draft in browser storage. Download your document before refreshing or closing the page.
The website may have ordinary hosting or analytics behaviour; local formatting does not mean the entire website is anonymous. Avoid including national identity numbers, bank details or sensitive personal information unless the employer specifically requires them through an appropriate channel.
Fix printing, page breaks and missing sections
Allow the print window if your browser blocks it. In the print dialog, choose A4 or Letter to suit your application, review margins and disable browser headers and footers if you do not want the page URL and print date.
If the CV runs over several pages, shorten repeated details and inspect page breaks in the preview. Blank sections are omitted. The layout supports ordinary typed text rather than imported files, images or complex rich-text formatting.
